Sprint Science & Methodology


  • Kinematic Modeling: Acceleration modeled as a quasi-exponential approach to maximum velocity (A.V. Hill, 1927).
  • Acceleration & Tau (τ): The time constant τ represents the efficiency of the acceleration phase.
  • Speed Decay: Application of Riegel's Power Law for distances exceeding the alactic window.
  • Environmental Corrections: Adjustments follow the model of Jonas Mureika (2001).
  • Timing Normalization: FAT (+0.24s) and start form offsets.
